International Journal of Childhood, Counselling and Special Education (CCSE) covers a broad scope of disciplines including: Empirical research, survey research, theoretical articles, literature reviews, and book reviews in all aspects of Intervention Childhood (IC), Intervention Counselling (IC) and Special Education (SE). The journal accepts manuscripts in the form of: Original research article, Review article, Short communication, Case report, Letter-to-the-Editor and Editorials for publication.

Aims:
To publish high quality, innovative and outstanding Childhood, Counselling and Special Education research.
It covers in all aspects of Intervention Childhood (IC), Intervention Counselling (IC), and Special Education (SE).

Scope:
CCSE publishes empirical research, survey research, theoretical articles, literature reviews and book reviews in all aspects of Intervention Childhood (IC), Intervention Counselling (IC) and Special Education (SE).

Childhood Aspects: Education of Gifted Children, Strategies of Children Teaching, Child Development, Behavior Modification, Kindergarten Curriculum, Educational Technology, Child Health and Nutrition, Children's Rights, Preperation of Kindergarten Teacher and International Programs in Childhood.

Counselling Aspects: Family Counseling, Career Counseling, Rehabilitation and Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling, Educational Counseling, Individual Counselling and Group Counselling.

Special Education Aspects: Mental Retardation, Hearing Impairment, ‪Visual Impairment, ‪Physical Impairment, Emotional and Behavioural Impairment, Autism‬, Learning Disabilities‬ , Speech and Language Disorders‬, Talent and Creativity and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

CCSE welcomes studies from diverse methodologies, including qualitative studies, experimental studies with all designs, descriptive studies using both survey or observational methodologies and case studies.

CCSE requires the esubmitted research to have high technical quality in the design, implementation inaddition to relevance to the field. All submitted manuscripts must be original, written in English, unpublished previously and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Submission

Authors are requested to submit their research electronically by e-mail attachments to the Editorial office: editorccse@refaad.com . All correspondence, including notification of the Editor's decision and requests for revision are perfomed by e-mail.

Submission Declaration

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere including electronically, in English or in any other language.

Page Count

Manuscripts should be in the length range between 10 and 25 pages.

Manuscript Preperation:

•• Structure:

The Authors should take care of the following items in their manuscripts:

• Format

  • The entire manuscript - including quotations, references, author notes, content footnotes, figure captions, and all parts of tables - should be neatly prepared in double-spaced style.
  • All manuscripts forwarded for publishing will be edited in English in A4 format with 14 point Goudy Old Style characters.
  • Manuscripts should be in the length range of 10 to 25 pages.
  • The title page, abstract, references, appendixes, author notes, content footnotes, tables, figure captions and figures should NOT be on separate pages (with only one table or figure per page). They should be ordered in sequence, with the text pages between the abstract and the references.
  • All pages should be numbered in sequence, starting with the title page.
  • Since the manuscript will be receiving a masked review, the author notes should be typed on the title page. The manuscript's title page should consist of only the article, running head and date.
  • A cover letter should be included with the manuscript. The cover letter should include "the author's postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, and fax number for future correspondence and should state that the manuscript is original, is not previously published and not under concurrent consideration for publishing elsewhere.

• Title and Abstract

  • Title should not exceed 10 to 20 words.
  • The abstract should be no longer than 180-200 words.
  • Title page should include 3-5 keywords.

  • • Paragraphs and Headings

  • Each paragraph should be longer than a single sentence but not longer than one manuscript page.
  • The levels of headings should accurately reflect the organization of the paper.
  • All headings of the same level should appear in the same format.

  • •Peer Review Process

    International Journal of Childhood, Counselling and Special Education (CCSE) is to be a double-blind peer review academic and scientific journal. All manuscripts submitted for publication should be original. Manuscripts published or under consideration for publication elsewhere should not be submitted and will not be considered. Submission of a paper implies that it has not been published previously, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that if accepted it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher.
    Manuscripts submitted to the journal management system will be evaluated by the editors and section editors within two weeks at the latest. The manuscripts are critically evaluated based on the journal’s submission criteria as follows:

    • Scope of the journal and appropriateness to the field of study
    • Evaluation of the level of similarity with other publications
    • Appropriateness to the writing rules
    • Publication language (APA 6 rules)

    Manuscripts passed from pre-assessment of editors and section editors are forwarded to two referees who are specialized in the field concerned. These referees state their decision, whether or not to accept the submitted manuscript for evaluation, to the publication board within two weeks at the latest. If the referees don’t state an opinion to the publication board, new referees are assigned for reviewing the manuscript. The assigned referees evaluate the study by using a standard manuscript evaluation form. Moreover, the assigned referees may also present their views and thoughts regarding the full paper and send it to the publication board. Evaluation of journal reviewers takes 4 weeks.
    The views of the referees serve as a guide to the editors and the section editors to make a final decision. The final decision always belongs to the editors and the section editors. Referees can state the following four views for the submitted manuscript:

    • Acceptance for publication
    • Acceptance for publication after minor revision is made (it is decided after revisions are evaluated by the editorial board)
    • Reviewing again after a major revision is made. After the revision is completed by the authotes, the study will be evaluated again.
    • It is not accepted for publication (rejection)

    Based on the views of referees, a third or a fourth referee can be assigned. In such case, the same process of evaluation will be performed.
    After reviewers’ evaluation is completed, views of the referees are examined, after at least two weeks, by editors and section editors. Editors and section editors give final decision for the manuscript by taking into consideration the views and suggestions of the referees. The final decision will be formally communicated to the author.

    We aspire to index and adopt the contents of the International Journal of Childhood, Counselling and Special Education (CCSE) within the Scientific Databases.

    Important Note

    The Journal will not charge any publishing fees until 01-Jan-2021

    Ethics of Publishing

      The publication process of CCSE establishes the foundation for the objective and respectfull improvement and dissemination of information. Therefore, the procedures in this process improves the quality of the studies.
      Peer-reviewed studies are the ones that support and embody the scientific methods. At this point, it is of utmost importance that all parties included in the publication process (authors, readers and researchers, publisher, reviewers and editors) comply with the standards of ethical considerations. The International Journal of Childhood, Counselling and Special Education (CCSE) expects all parties to hold the following ethical responsibilities:

    1. Integrity :
      The Authors shall abide by the ethics of scientific publishing, and the manuscripts will be subject to a plagiarism detection review by using ihinticate. Any manuscript that does not comply with the ethics of publishing shall be rejected.

    2. Copyright:
      By submitting a manuscript, the authors agree that the copyright for their article is transferred to the (CCSE) journal, if and when, the paper is accepted for publication. The published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided each paper is properly cited.

    3. Conflict of Interest:
      Authors:
      Authors are required to declare to the Editor-in-Chief any Conflict of Interest that may have affected their research or decision to submit to the CCSE journal. Reviewers are required to declare if they have any Conflict of Interest that may affect their judgment of any article they review and they must be declared to the Editor-in-Chief as soon as it is known. Editors are excluded from any publishing decision in which they may have a Conflict of Interest.

      Peer Reviewers:
      Peer Reviewers should be responsible to decline the review process if any substantial Conflicts-of-Interest exists. In case of any doubt, they should consult with the Editor-in-Chief to make a decision regarding the review process. Researchers from authors' institutions should not be considered as peer reviewers to prevent any Conflicts-of-Interest.

      Editors:
      Editors should be responsible to manage the review process and have the right of declining any submission in case of any Conflict-of-Interest. They should not have any direct personal and/or financial conflicts related to the manuscripts assigned to them. They should not be assigned to manuscripts in which they are part of the author list.

    The Journal binds itself to ensure that advertising, reprint or other commercial income shall have no effect on editorial decisions.

    Special Issue is an effective way to draw attention to specific topics. Experienced researchers and practitioners are welcome to propose, organize the Special Issues around topics of their interest and expertise. Once you propose a Special Issue, you will be the Lead Guest Editor of the Special Issue.
    How to propose a Special Issue:

    A Special Issue proposal should include the following:

    • Journal Name (In which journal that you want to publish a Special Issue).
    • Special Issue Title.
    • Lead Guest Editor (Including full name, email address, affiliation information).
    • Guest Editor (Including full name, email address, affiliation information). Note: Affiliation information should include department/faculty, university/institute, city and country. Submission Deadline.
    • Publication Date.
    • Description.
    • If possible, provide a provisional paper listing of your Special Issue from potential authors, including author names, article titles. (Note: this is not required at proposal stage if not available).

    • The Lead Guest Editor can keep himself up-to-date while reviewing a manuscript.
    • The Lead Guest Editor can cooperate with a group of experienced researchers from all over the world.

    • The Lead Guest Editor will receive the Certificate of Honor.
    • The Lead Guest Editor should organize a review team to do the review work if there are manuscripts submitted to the Special Issue.
    • The Lead Guest Editor should promote his Special Issue and invite authors to submit manuscripts.
    • The Lead Guest Editor should make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts.
    • The Lead Guest Editor should cross-check the manuscripts and ensures their quality.
