Abstract

This study aims to change the normal image of the poet Abū Al-alā Al-Ma'arri as describing him as the pessimistic and the anxious in life. This would be through explore the manifastations of determination of Al-Ma'arri's as it appears in his poetry in many levels and by providing examples of significant texts by him, which show these characteristics. The manifestations crystallized in his two poetical works that appeared as The Tinder Spark (Saqt alZand) and Unnecessary Necessity (Al-Luzūmīyat), and it explored him in terms of morals, psychological, and scientific. After that, the study shows the notion of manifestations in an applicational way by doing a technical study to his poem "Glory Path"(Sabeel Al-Majd), the one which disclose the logical perspective of life of Al-Ma'arri . The study also shows throughout this exploration of the manifestations the unforgetable antiquities of Abū Al-alā Al-Ma'arri on himself and on others.
