The effect of revitalizing tourism in achieving economic development in Sudan using the (ARDL) methodology during the period (1995-2019)

Abstract
The study examines the contribution of the tourism sector to the economic development in Sudan. The tourism sector is of great importance to contribute to social and economic development in Sudan. The study aims to build an econometrics model to analyze the impact of some macroeconomic indicators on tourism activity in Sudan using linear functions logarithms and forecasting models during the period (1995-2019). Moreover, the study aims to clarify the concept of tourism activity and its essential features and dimensions, and its relation with development with the emphasis on the factors that attract tourism. The study hypothesizes that the tourism sector has a positive impact on the Sudanese economy. The empirical evidence shows that all the variables are stationary. The study findings reveal that the revenues generated by the tourism are appositive indicators that Sudan can attract more tourists. Finally, the study recommends establishing a geographic information bank at tourist locations to provide the latest tourism information and the provision of necessary services for accommodations and transportations .
