Abstract
This research study aims at shedding light on modern leadership styles which were developed by Jim Collins et al. by means of investigating the possibility to transform well doing companies into very big ones. Collins introduces level five leadership as the highest-level leaders could reach. Once the leader attains this level, he assigns his hero's role, even if he deserves it, to put forward the team's role as success builder inside the company. This level five includes the leader in a seemingly contradictory mix containing extreme individual humility and higher professional will. In order to clarify more these points, this research study aims at exposing a successful example of level five leaders, namely Darwin Smith who was able, thanks to his leadership style, to transform KimberlyClark Company from an ordinary paper company to a very big and leading company in the sector of consumer's paper products around the world.
