Abstract
This study aims to know the effect of geopolitical, financial and human factors on FDI flows to Iraq for the annual period (2004-2018) using multiple linear regression, and the results showed that the reality of foreign direct investment in Iraq is explained by political, financial and human factors in varying proportions, for example the significance positive effects of (controlling corruption, the existence of the coalition forces in Iraq and the oil price exceeded one hundred dollars per barrel), and with no relationship of foreign direct investment inflows to (the market value index, the human development index, the period of ISIS presence and the Iraqi parliamentary elections). The study also included some suggestions, including the need for the decision maker to take the necessary steps to improve the rank of Iraq in the relevant international classifications in risk assessment by providing an appropriate business environment and stable political and security conditions.
