Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic development of the upper-middle-income developing economies from 1970 to 2016. The dynamic Panel data model were used; the results confirmed a short- and long-term causal relationship between the two variables in both directions. The positive impact of foreign direct investment on the economic development of this group has been demonstrated.
