Abstract
This Study entitled: "The Role of Literary Translation in Cultural exchange among the Citizens of Nigeria", is an attempt to shed light on contribution of Translation in exploring the rich Cultural values and Literary aesthetics contained in Nigerian Literature, particularly in the area of Civilizational and Cultural interaction among Various ethnic groups in Nigeria such as Hausa, Yoruba and Ibo. Role, Literary, Translation, Cultural, Exchange, Citizens, Nigeria. The descriptive method was adopted in the cause of the study. The major findings reveal that debate or cultural exchange could not be achieved without effective and serious translation movement, this is the reason why the translation process becomes a process that could not be ignored because it serves as the bridge the connect different nations and the main engine that ignites inter-cultural interaction. It also helps in the development of exchange of ideas and achievements.
