Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to investigate the chromatic signifiers in Mahmoud Darwish's poetry, explore their artistic and aesthetic manifestations, and identify the innovative. features of the chromatic techniques that characterize his poetic experience. Methodology: The study adopts both the descriptive-analytical and stylistic approaches by examining the presence of color imagery in Darwish's collections Olive Leaves and Like Almond Blossoms or Beyond. It analyzes the aesthetic and symbolic connotations of colors and explores their expressive and stylistic functions. Furthermore, the study focuses on the concept of color, chromatic imagery, the effectiveness of color and its principal components, and its role in shaping the structure of modern Arabic poetry in general and Darwish's poetry in particular. Conclusion: The study concludes that color constitutes an active structural element in the architecture of the poem, contributing to the creation of a cohesive poetic texture whose components interact harmoniously within a distinctive artistic framework. This chromatic structure reflects the uniqueness of Darwish's poetic experience while highlighting its aesthetic richness and creative depth.
