Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of research in political sociology by analyzing transformations in researchers’ roles amid the accelerating digital shift. Methods: The study adopted a descriptive - analytical approach, based on reviewing recent scientific literature and research trends related to applications of artificial intelligence in political sociology. It focused on cognitive and methodological transformations resulting from the expansion of digital spaces and the increasing use of social and political data analysis tools. Results: The findings revealed a qualitative shift in researchers' roles in political sociology, which now extend beyond traditional methods to include analysis of digital spaces as central arenas for social and political interactions. The study also identified challenges concerning privacy protection, algorithmic biases, and the digital divide, along with their effects on accuracy and comprehensiveness of analysis. Conclusions: The study concluded that it is essential to develop a suitable methodological framework that integrates digital analysis with critical sociological interpretation, aligning with transformations driven by artificial intelligence. This framework would contribute to a deeper and more accurate understanding of social and political phenomena while considering cultural and social specificities and mitigating the effects of the digital divide on research.
