Analysis of the Quranic Activities Included in the "My Beautiful Language" Textbook for the Fifth Grade of Primary School in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Light of Reading Comprehension Skills

Abstract
Objectives: This research aimed to analyze the level of inclusion of reading comprehension skills in the reading activities of the Arabic Language textbook for the fifth grade in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the academic year 2025-2026. Methods: The researcher followed the descriptive approach (content analysis). The study sample consisted of the reading activities in the Arabic Language textbook for the fifth grade (first semester). Results: The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which are: The level of inclusion of reading comprehension skills in reading activities is as follows: Literal comprehension skills ranked first with a frequency of 177 occurrences, representing 55%, indicating a significant concentration of reading activities at this level. Conclusions: The researchers recommended incorporating reading comprehension skills at their various levels (literal, inferential, and critical) into the activities of the "My Beautiful Language" textbook in a balanced manner to ensure the development of all aspects of student comprehension. They also recommended the periodic review and updating of Arabic language textbook content to ensure it keeps pace with curriculum developments, connects to students' realities and daily interests.
