Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to examine paratexts in terms of their concepts and the components from which they are formed, and to explore the most prominent theoretical frameworks identified by critics in this regard. It also seeks to analyze the title paratext in the poetry collection Another Slip of Wisdom by Juries Samawi. Methodology: The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach as its methodological framework to accomplish its outlined objectives. It involved collecting relevant theoretical concepts and poetic texts and subjecting them to thorough analysis aimed at probing their deeper meanings and dimensions. Conclusion: The researcher recommends conducting further critical studies that focus on textual thresholds due to their significance and scholarly value. The study also calls for additional readings of the poetry collection Zallah Ukhra lil-Hikmah (Another Slip for Wisdom), as it possesses rich semantic and referential density. Furthermore, it emphasizes the necessity of expanding the study of the collection from different analytical perspectives.
