Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to establish the concept of the term within the Arabic context, trace its origins and conditions of emergence, describe its artistic structure and linguistic level, and examine its impact on the recipient in a digital environment characterized by interactivity and hybrid language. Methodology: The study adopts a descriptive- analytical approach, beginning with a definition of the term and a discussion of parallel designations, then following the technical and social factors that contributed to its rise and diffusion. A sample of Threads was selected from the (Rattibha) account on the X platform, which republishes complete sequences, thus ensuring reliable documentation for analysis. The examined models ranged across educational, promotional, narrative, and entertaining purposes, reflecting the diversity and richness of the phenomenon. Conclusion: Findings reveal that the Thread represents a hybrid digital genre intersecting with essay, narrative, and rhetorical modes, while adapting to the digital medium through multimedia elements (images, links, videos) that reinforce meaning and engagement. The study also shows that its structure is flexible, shaped by purpose, context, and audience, with an effective span of around twenty tweets balancing brevity with elaboration. Linguistically, the analysis highlights variation between Standard Arabic and colloquial usage, along with orthographic and grammatical errors that reflect the spontaneous nature of digital writing.
