Social compatibility and its relationship to some variables in light of (Carl Rogers' self-theory) among Omani society members in light of the COVID-19

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of social compatibility and its relationship with some variables in light of the self-theory of (Carl Rogers) among the members of Omani society during the spread of COVID-19. It also identifies the differences in the level of social compatibility according to the social gender variable, the nature of work, and age. The sample of the study consisted of (311) people: (157) males, and (154) females. A questionnaire was applied to measure the level of social compatibility. It included (36) items, distributed into three dimensions: the first (psychological) dimension, which included (12) items, and the second (personal) dimension, which included (12) items. The third (social) dimension included (12) items. The results of the study indicated that there is a very high level of social compatibility among the members of the Omani society. There are no statistically significant differences due to the gender variable and the age variable in the level of social compatibility while there are statistically significant differences in the level of social compatibility among the members of the Omani society due to the variable of the nature of work for the benefit of employees. The study recommended the importance of enhancing the level of social compatibility among the members of the Omani society in facing challenges and social issues by making use of the principles and applications of psychology theories during the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. It also recommended conducting more research and studies on social compatibility according to various variables to study personality using new tools and measures during this pandemic.
