School Self-Management in Central American Countries and the Possibility of Benefiting from them in the Sultanate of Oman (El Salvador Model)

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the School Self-management systems in Central American countries in general and El Salvador in particular and the possibility of benefiting from them in the Sultanate of Oman. The study used the descriptive method. The analysis of documents was used in collecting data and information. The study found that school self-management in El Salvador focused on the autonomy of schools, extensive participation by parents and the community through parents' councils, attention to the continuous professional development of teachers, increased Salaries and incentives, and attention to buildings and school facilities. The results also reached lack of schools participating in the school self-management project in the Sultanate of Oman, Self-management focus on granting school powers and authorities of financial management in the School cooperative association, and the low involvement of parents and the community in self-management of the school.
