The Effectiveness of the Number Talks Strategy in Developing Conceptual Understanding for Second-Grade Female Students of the Primary Stage

Abstract
Objectives: The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the number conversations strategy in developing conceptual comprehension among second-grade primary school students. Methods: The study relied on the experimental approach, with a quasi-experimental design, based on the experimental and control groups. The study sample, which numbered (60) female students from the second-grade primary school, from (Qatiba bin Muslim Early Childhood School) in Riyadh, was selected using the cluster random method. The experimental group consists of (30) students. Results: The study arrived at a set of findings, the most notable of which was the presence of a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental and control group students in the post-administration of the conceptual comprehension test, in favor of the experimental group among other results. Conclusions: Based on the study's findings, a set of recommendations was proposed, along with several research suggestions related to the study's topic.
