Level of Ambition and Its Relationship to Vocational Inclinations Among Students at Al-Balqa Applied University

Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to examine the level of ambition and its relationship to vocational inclinations among students at Al-Balqa Applied University, as well as to provide recommendations for enhancing their ambition and career-related interests. Methods: The researcher employed a correlational descriptive design, with a study sample of 500 students (150 males and 350 females), randomly selected from the Vocational Education program at Irbid University College/Al-Balqa Applied University. Results: The results revealed statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level attributable to gender, with differences in favor of females. Furthermore, statistically significant differences were found in all areas, except in the domain of career choice, where the differences favored males in the area of academic subjects and favored females in the overall scale. The study also found a statistically significant positive correlation between the level of ambition and career tendencies among the students of Al-Balqa Applied University. Conclusions: The study recommended that students' career tendencies should be identified early in their educational journey in order to guide them effectively, ensuring stable educational, social, and professional lives in the context of the prevailing culture towards vocational education. The study also called for further research into the factors influencing the level of ambition and career tendencies among students in different social and educational environments.
