The Reality of Knowledge Management Implementation in Jeddah Educational Offices from the Perspective of Office Leaders and Educational Supervisors

Abstract
Objectives: This research study aimed to discover the role of knowledge management in transforming Jeddah Teaching Offices into learning communities from the perspectives of offices' leaders and educational supervisors. Methods: To attain this purpose, the study adopted quantitative descriptive- analytical research design, and utilized the survey (questionnaire) as a research tool to collect data from all (4) offices' leaders as well as from a sample of (270) educational supervisors who were selected by simple random sampling procedure. Results: Findings of this study showed that knowledge management is moderately being applied in Jeddah Teaching Offices, and the transformation into learning communities is moderately being achieved. Further to that, findings revealed that there is statistically significant difference at the level of (alpha< 0.05) between the means of the respondents' responses that can be referred to academic qualification and years of experience. Conclusions: The study concluded with some recommendations, the most important of which is reinforcing knowledge management and all related practices in the Jeddah Teaching Offices through assigning a taskforce to assess and follow up on these practices.
