Financing Public Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Light of the Experiences of Some Developed Countries

Abstract
Objectives: The current study aimed to identify the proposed mechanisms for financing education in general education schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to identify the reality of financing public education and the requirements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and to know the reality of financing public education in a number of countries, including: the United States of America, Finland, and Japan. Methods: The descriptive analytical approach based on collecting and analyzing information was included in the literature of previous studies related to financing education for comparison between countries. Conclusions: The study reached a number of recommendations, among the most important ones are: appointing qualified national cadres with a high degree of professionalism to manage financial resources, developing a strategic plan to diversify sources of self-financing in schools, benefiting from the experiences of developed countries in some sources of funding, and urging the application of the productive school model in schools.
