Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to show the main cultural sources that formed Burhan Al-Din Al-Aboushi's poetry in his collection of poems (the Soldiers of the Sky), and then knowing the impact of these cultural sources on his ideas, trends and opinions. Finally, showing the effect of all of these on his poetry and cause that he defended all of his life. Intertextuality is one of the important ways to know all of that because it stimulates the text deeply to show the ancient history traces and the culture that influenced the poet. Methods: The study uses the descriptive inductive approach to confine the intertextuality in Burhan Al-Din Al-Aboushi's poetry with his cultural sources, then it has been used to confine the poems which included the phenomenon; after that, the study gives an explanation of the phenomenon. Conclusions: Consequently, the study finds that there are different forms of cultural sources in Burhan Al-Din Al-Aboushi's poetry, including religious and historical ones. Whereas the number of Intertextuality is more than three hundred.
