Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the effect of an educational unit developed in the science subject according to the (STEAM) approach in developing mental motivation among a sample of seventh-grade students in Gaza Governorate. An intentional sample of (70) female students from the seventh grade at Al-Sayeda Ruqayya Al-Alami School (B). The researchers adopted the quasi-experimental approach. To achieve the objectives of the study, the mental motivation scale was used, and the results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (alpha = 0.05) between the mean scores of the female students in the experimental and control groups in the post mental motivation scale and its sub-dimensions in favor of the experimental group. The results also showed that the (STEAM) approach had a significant impact on the development of mental motivation. In light of the results of the research, the researchers recommend the need to take an advantage of the educational unit developed according to the (STEAM) approach in developing mental motivation and holding workshops to take care of mental motivation.
