Educational Decision-Making Skills for Secondary School Principals in Al-Kharj Governorate and A Proposed Scenario for Developing them in Light of Simon’s Theory

Abstract
The study aimed at standing on the educational decision-making skills of secondary school principals in Al-Kharj Governorate and presenting a proposed vision for developing them in the light of Simon's theory. As well as revealing the differences between the opinions of the study sample members according to the variables of experience and training courses. The study used the survey method to identify the educational decision-making skills of secondary school principals. The study population consisted of (139) secondary school principals, and the study was applied to all members of the study community due to the small size of the study community by a comprehensive inventory method. A questionnaire was distributed to the study population, where the researcher obtained (85) responses from the study sample. The results of the study found that: The degree of approval of the study sample on all areas of educational decision-making skills came to a high degree, with a mean of (3,59) and a percentage of (70.8 %). The third domain, "the ability to define an action plan to implement educational decisions," ranked first, with a high degree, and with a mean of (3,83) and a percentage of (76.6%). As for the first domain, "the ability to identify the problem", it came in second place with a high degree, with an arithmetic average (3.36) and a percentage (71.8%). The second domain, "the skill of decision-making", came in third place, with an arithmetic average (3.36), a percentage (67.2%), and a medium degree. The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences between the opinions of the study sample members on all areas of educational decision-making skills due to the variable experience while there were statistically significant differences between the opinions of the study sample members on all areas of educational decision-making skills due to the variable of training courses. Finally, the researcher developed a suggested conception to develop the educational decision-making skills of secondary school principals in Al-Kharj Governorate in the light of Simon's theory.
