Abstract

In Kashmir, there lies a fertile region which has produced a large number of scholars and writers who have contributed to the dissemination of Islamic literature and the development of Arabic language and literature throughout the ages. They received an eminent acquiescence and recognition in both the Islamic and Arabic world equally. All we see are the impressions of Arabic language and literature in every part of Jammu and Kashmir. Its aspects are referred to the efforts of scholars, after the bless of Almighty Allah, who have become the signpost of the field of education and authorship. As a result, they touched the peaks and pinnacles of fame. This is quite through that from the beginning of Islamic Indian scholars put their efforts in advancement of Arabic language which brought in the development of sciences like exegesis of Quran and hadith and Islamic jurisprudence and so on. All these efforts are worth to play a leading role in dissemination of Arabic culture.
