Developing a Professional Development Training Program for Teachers of Gifted Students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Light of the Global Principles for Professional Learning

Abstract
Objectives: The study aimed to develop a training program for professional development for gifted students' teachers in kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the global professional learning principles. Methods: The researcher follow the descriptive approach, where the study population constructed from gifted students teachers' training programs, and the researcher prepared a list by standard specifications of gifted students teachers' training programs in light of the global principles for professional learning in gifted education, and content analysis card, to analyse the gifted students teachers' training programs in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that represented by the gifted students teachers' training programs in gifted program in general education schools. Results: The study found number of findings, and they are: a list of standard specifications of gifted students teachers' training programs, the list amounted to 30 standard specifications distributed over 5 original fields, they are: general field, professional knowledge field, professional practice field, sharing and support field, active communication field, and build a proposed training program according to global principles of professional development for gifted teachers. Conclusions: The researcher provided a number of recommendations to benefit from the standard specifications list, that constructed in this study, when constructed and develop gifted students teachers' training programs.
