Role of Entrepreneurial Leadership in Achieving Institutional Excellence in Secondary Education in the City of Riyadh

Abstract
Objectives: The study aimed to identify the role of entrepreneurial leadership, with its dimensions (vision, innovation, proactiveness, and risk-taking), in achieving institutional excellence at the secondary school level from the perspectives of female secondary school principals in Riyadh. It also sought to identify the challenges they face. Methods: The descriptive-analytical approach was employed, and a questionnaire was used to collect data from a random sample of (171) female principals of secondary schools in Riyadh. Results: The findings revealed that the role of entrepreneurial leadership, with its dimensions, in achieving institutional excellence at the secondary level-according to the perspectives of female secondary school principals in Riyadh- was rated as high, with an overall mean score of (3.96). The dimensions were ranked as follows: innovation (mean = 4.14, high), vision (mean = 3.99, high), risk-taking (mean = 3.89, high), and proactiveness (mean = 3.86, high).Additionally, the challenges faced by female secondary school principals in practicing entrepreneurial leadership to achieve institutional excellence were rated as high, with a mean score of (3.74). The requirements for practicing entrepreneurial leadership to achieve institutional excellence were also rated as high, with a mean score of (3.69). Conclusions: The study recommended several actions, including increasing the operational budget of girls' secondary schools in Riyadh to support the implementation of entrepreneurial leadership plans aimed at achieving institutional excellence.
