The Level of Awareness of Graduate Students at An-Najah National University Regarding ChatGPT Technology and Their Attitudes Toward Employing It in Academic Research Preparation from Their Perspective

Abstract
Objectives: The current study aimed to identify the level of awareness among graduate students at An-Najah National University regarding ChatGPT technology and their attitudes toward employing it in academic research preparation. Methods: The study objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was used, and a questionnaire consisting of 27 items distributed across two domains (awareness level and attitudes) was employed. The study sample consisted of 313 male and female graduate students selected through simple random sampling. Results: The findings revealed that graduate students' knowledge level regarding skills associated with using ChatGPT technology was moderate, while their attitudes toward using the technology in conducting scientific research were high. Conclusions: The study recommends raising students' awareness of ChatGPT, providing technical support for master's students, encouraging the academic use of AI technologies in graduate studies.
