Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of various activities in developing receptive and expressive language skills in children with Apraxia. Methods: The researchers constructed a scale, in addition to direct observation by the researchers. Their validity and reliability were verified. A purposive sample of (6) students from Al-Basmat School in East Jerusalem was selected. The quasi-experimental approach was used to implement the program. Results: The results showed positive progress among the children, as there were clear differences between the arithmetic means of the level of receptive and expressive language skills according to the scale variable. The apparent differences were in favor of the post-scale, which had an arithmetic mean of (2.95) and a standard deviation of (0.66), while the arithmetic mean of the pre-scale was (1.93) and a standard deviation of (0.65). The results of direct observation also showed improvement in all children at different levels. This indicates the effectiveness of the various activities in developing language skills. Conclusions: Researchers recommend providing a program that includes diverse activities to be used as an educational strategy for children with Apraxia.
