Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to examine the potential mediating role of emotional intelligence in the relationship between psychological flourishing and quality of life among Riyadh Metro users. Methods: A descriptive research design was employed. The sample consisted of 400 randomly selected Riyadh Metro users. Results: The findings revealed a high level of quality of life among the participants. Significant gender differences were observed in emotional intelligence, favoring females, and in quality of life, favoring males. Additionally, statistically significant differences were found among age groups in both emotional intelligence and quality of life, favoring individuals aged 56 years and above. Conclusions: Based on the findings, the researcher recommends several actions, including raising public awareness about the proper use of the metro and its impact on quality of life, as well as encouraging psychological counselors to implement emotional intelligence programs in counseling centers to help individuals understand and manage their emotions effectively.
