The Reality of the Use of Social Networks in the Education of Graduate Students at King Saud University

Abstract
The study aimed to find out the reality of the use of social networks in education among female graduate students at King Saud University. The study population consisted of all postgraduate female students (Masters and Ph.D.) at King Saud University, whose number is (3529), according to administrative statistics for the year 1440 AH. The researcher used the random sampling method in collecting data. The study sample consisted of (41) female students. The researcher used the descriptive approach to study the phenomenon, which relied on the questionnaire in collecting data. The study found, through the results, that the study members agreed on the use of social networks in education for female graduate students at King Saud University, where their average agreement was (4.18 out of 5), which is an average that falls in the second category of the five-scale categories, which is the category that refers to the choice of consent. As all members of the study sample see the possibility of using social networks in education. It is also clear from the results of the study that there is convergence in the degree of approval of the study members on the existence of obstacles in the use of social networks in education. The study recommends intensive training that explains the objectives and methods of using and activating social networks in the educational process. Providing computers and an internet connection in the classrooms and work on developing a strategy to activate these networks formally within the academic curricula. It also recommends supporting and disseminating successful models and experiences in this field.
