The practice of life skills by science teachers’ in Jordan from their point of view

Abstract
The study aimed to reveal the practice degree of life skills by science teachers' in Jordan. the Descriptive approach was used to achieve the study purpose. The researchers developed the study's tool. The questionnaire consists five main life skills: manual practical skills, nutritional skills, health skills, environmental skills and preventive skills. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the degree of science teachers' practice of life skills in Jordan was significant, and that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (alpha= 0.05) in the degree of science teachers practicing life skills According to the gender and teaching experience but not the educational qualification. The results also show that the manual practical skills were placed top, while the health skill came in the last place. In the light of the results, the researchers recommended the need to review science teacher preparation and training programs so that health skills receive appropriate attention.
