The Contents of Education Technology Included in the Basic Stage Books in Jordan and the Extent to which Teachers Use them in Teaching in the District of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi in Jordan

Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the contents of education technology included in the basic stage books in Jordan and the extent to which teachers use them in teaching in the district of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi in Jordan. The study used the survey analytical descriptive approach. The study sample consisted of two parts. The first part of the sample consisted of the first stage books from the first to the sixth grades in Jordan for the academic year (2021-2022) while the second part consisted of (416) male and female teachers in the public schools in Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi directorate of education. The results revealed that the contents of education technology are distributed in the books of the basic stage in Jordan in terms of the grade where the first grade was ranked first with a percentage of (24%), followed by the second grade with a percentage of (19%), fifth grade with a percentage of (17%), third grade (14%), fourth grade (14%), and finally the sixth grade with a percentage of (12%). Also, the contents are distributed in terms of subjects, where the subject of English language was in the first place with a percentage of (35%), the subject of science was in the second rank with a percentage of (28%), followed by mathematics (19%), Islamic Education (10%), and finally the subject of Arabic language (8%). The results revealed that the level of teachers' usage of teaching technology contents was medium with a mean of (3.30) and a percentage of (66%); however, their means varied from (3.49) with a percentage of (70%) to (3.12) with a percentage of (62%). The domain of (usual equipment and devices) was in the first place, with a mean of (3.49) and a percentage of (70%), followed by (educational programs), with a mean of (3.39) and a percentage of (68%), (web pages and websites) with a mean of (3.33) and a percentage of (66%), (teaching subjects), with a mean of (3.30) and a percentage of (66%), (educational drama, journeys and games), with a mean of (3.19) and a percentage of (64%), and finally (electronic devices and equipment) with a mean of (3.12) and a percentage of (62%). The study recommended the necessity of urging the national center of writing curricula to pay more attention to the contents of teaching technology and including school subjects, particularly Islamic education and Arabic language.
