Abstract
This special issue is an outgrowth of SMM’2020 the International Conference on Cyber Security and recent trends in Mathematical Modeling. SMM’2020 addressed the latest research on cybersecurity and mathematical modelling. It dealt with relevant scientific fields facing challenges for securing the cyber space. Cybersecurity has become paramount in modern societies which are undergoing an important technological transformation. We are witnessing the birth and the proliferation of a huge number of digital data that could be threatened by cyber-attacks. It becomes essential to secure the digital transmissions and to avoid damage threatening individuals, economies, and societies. This special issue includes innovative solutions for cyber security using essentially cryptographic and machine learning techniques. The special issue also approaches recent developments in both theoretical and applied mathematics for understanding and modelling complex real-life problems. Finally, this special issue is aimed at a diverse audience such mathematicians, engineers, interdisciplinary researchers and industrial who wish to discover a relevant research in cybersecurity and mathematical modelling.
