Abstract
The study aims at investigating the impact of distance learning on classroom participation among seventh and ninth grade students. Moreover, the study aims at identifying the pros and cons of distance learning from their point of view. The study sample consisted of 189 female students at Khawla Bint Al Azwar School in Irbid / Al Nuaima. The electronic questionnaire of the study was distributed to them. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The results of the study indicate that there was a moderate effect of interactive programs on classroom participation from the point of view of the seventh and ninth graders, with an arithmetic average of 3.23 and a relative importance of 64.6%. The advantages of distance learning as a whole were in a medium degree with an arithmetic average of 3.27 and a relative importance of 65.3%. The arithmetic average of the negatives of distance learning is 2.99, with a medium rating, with a relative importance of 59.9%. The study recommends the need to establish a center specialized in distance learning in the Ministry of Education in order to pay attention to the application of distance learning, and the need to provide sufficient computers for the implementation of distance learning.
