Abstract
Objectives: This study examines intellectual security as a mechanism for safeguarding cultural and religious identity against the challenges of Islamophobia, cultural assimilation, and intellectual extremism. Drawing on the classical insights of scholars such as Ibn Khaldun, Al-Ghazali, and Ibn Ashur, as well as contemporary works by Jocelyne Cesari, Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, and Manlio Graziano. Methods: Through a descriptive and analytical methodology, this research addresses pressing questions on how intellectual security can serve as a bulwark for Islamic identity, counter Islamophobia, and foster social harmony within the context of globalization. Conclusions: The findings emphasize the fact that the intellectual security exists in a multidimensional context with the media representation, interfaith interaction, religious strength, and education and legal safeguards forming part of the scope. Using the principles of wasatiyyah (moderation) and maqasid at the Islamic law's higher objectives Muslim communities in Europe can thrive on complicated socio-political territories without losing their commitment to their faith and cultural identity. This research has also revealed that securitization of Muslim identities in Western Europe- instruments including media depictions, discriminatory policies, and exclusionary stories require strong intellectualist response and community led initiatives. Improving educational programs, facilitating media literacy and pushing for equal legal frameworks can be remedial tactics for these challenges.
