Abstract
Objectives: This research aims to highlight the blessing of security and its importance, and to clarify that punishment only comes after a warning from Allah, the Almighty. It then focuses on the reasons behind the punishment of the people of Prophet Hud (peace be upon him), and illustrates the form of punishment that befell them, which came from a direction where they expected security and safety. Methodology: The descriptive approach was used in presenting this research, and the analytical approach was also used in detailing the contents of this study. Conclusion: The research was concluded with important findings, most notably that the people of 'Ad were the first 'Ad, and they were among the Arab tribes upon whom Allah sent His annihilating punishment. The punishment that befell the people of 'Ad came from the direction in which they perceived security and safety, affirming that the severest punishment for a human is that which comes from a place of perceived security and safety.
