Abstract
Objectives: This study explored the impact of employing artificial intelligence (AI) applications in teaching Islamic sciences amid the rapid digital transformations shaping the educational sector, which necessitate a fundamental shift from traditional instructional methods toward more interactive and flexible learning models. Methods: The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, drawing on a comprehensive review of the pertinent literature and an analysis of prominent AI-based applications in the teaching of the Qur'an, Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), and exegesis (Tafsir). Conclusions: The findings indicated that AI technologies contribute significantly to achieving adaptive learning that accommodates individual differences among learners, supports intelligent interaction, and provides accurate and immediate assessment tools, thereby improving the overall effectiveness of the educational process. However, the study underscores several technical and pedagogical challenges, including inadequate technological infrastructure, the complexity of Arabic language processing, the need for professional development of educators, and the inherent methodological and doctrinal particularities of Islamic sciences. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of adopting integrated strategies for the effective implementation of AI in a manner that balances technological advancement with the preservation of the authenticity of Islamic scholarly content.
