Abstract

Objectives: The study aims to clarify the concept of the "intermediate position" as presented by Al-Qadi Abd al-Jabbar, and to highlight its role in defining the Mu'tazilite stance toward the grave sinner. Methods: The research adopts a historical-analytical method by tracing and analyzing theological texts of Al-Qadi Abd al-Jabbar. Conclusions: The research concludes that Al-Qadi Abd al-Jabbar consolidated the idea of the "intermediate position" as a balanced solution that preserves God's justice while affirming human responsibility.
