Abstract
Objectives: This research aims to demonstrate the doctor's civil liability for medical errors occurring in weight deficiencies whether for his personal error or the mistakes of others from medical staff and the machinery and tools used to determine the physician's civil liability. A contractual liability or a liability for the injurious act is in accordance with the legal rules of the Jordanian Civil Code and Jordan's special medical legislation. This shows the question of the adequacy of legal rules in Jordan's Civil Code and medical legislation in Jordan to determine the doctor's civil liability. Methods: The analytical descriptive curriculum is utilized for such studies that require analysis of legal texts and description of medical errors of this area. The study concludes that the legal rules in determining the civil doctor's liability are insufficient for medical errors occurring in weight loss operations. Conclusions: The study concluded that the legal rules are insufficient in determining the doctor's civil liability for medical errors that occur in weight loss operations, and we recommend that the Jordanian legislator single out special legal texts that regulate the doctor's civil liability in derogation from the general rules in the Jordanian civil law.
