Abstract
Children are an integral part of society and have rights in society guaranteed to them by the true Islamic religion, as well as international and local customs and laws. They have many rights and from this category, the category of people with special needs also has rights that are also necessary, so we see Islamic legislation interested in this category as well as international conventions, customs and local laws such as Yemeni and Egyptian laws if they care about this category from the side of protection, care and responsibility by society. If the child is a weak being structure, and due to his physical and mental immaturity needs special protection and care, a child with a physical or mental disability a fortiori is in dire need of protection, assistance and care more than the average child receives. Therefore, Islamic legislation, international law and local laws have been concerned with the rights of persons with disabilities, especially children, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child has recently been working, which shows those rights and on the same approach, local legislation such as Yemeni and Egyptian legislations have followed in emphasizing the right of the disabled child to special care and protection, which we will highlight in this research, which consists of three topics on the concept and causes of disability and the protection prescribed for them in Islamic legislation as well as in international laws and customs and local legislation such as Yemeni and Egyptian as a model. The researcher followed the inductive and descriptive approach to suit the position and the research included a conclusion containing the most prominent results and recommendations.
